Candidates who will apply to the Economics Ph.D. Program, 1. Having a master's degree, 2. Having at least 55 points from the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES), 3. Taking at least 55 points from international language exams which are accepted as equivalent to the foreign language exams accepted by the Council of Higher Education (or ÖSYM). 4. Pass mark must be at least 65. The pass mark is 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the license graduation grade and 20% of the interview grade. For those who do not enter the interview, the pass mark is not calculated. Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Successful students who have completed at least one semester in another doctoral program of the Institute or in another doctoral program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the Ph.D. program by horizontal transfer. Successful acceptance of the student depends on the fact that he has succeeded in all of the courses he has received as far as the transfer is concerned and he has not received any disciplinary penalty. Students who are entitled to the horizontal transfer may request that they be exempted from the courses they have been successful in the higher education institutions where they have already studied. A scientific preparation program may be applied to make up for the shortcomings of candidate students who have obtained their undergraduate or graduate degrees in different undergraduate or higher education institutions.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The Finance Doctorate Program consists of a minimum of 240 ECTS credits, including at least seven courses (which is depend on the number of in the training plan), one seminar course (which is he/she takes from in the second period), a proficiency exam, a thesis proposal and a thesis study, with a minimum of 60 ECTS and 21 credits in an academic year. The duration of the program is eight semesters, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled for each semester, beginning with the semester they are given, with a maximum completion period of twelve semesters. In the first four semesters of this course, the courses must be successfully completed.

Profile of The Programme

Social and human sciences and arts education and research activities at the graduate level configuration, enabling the development and execution of national and international level to contribute to the universal knowledge to train researchers and specialists. (1) The purpose of the PhD program, students doing independent research, examining the scientific facts to comment on a broader and deeper perspective and to gain the capability to determine the necessary steps to reach new synthesis. (2) In his PhD thesis prepared at the end; a) bringing innovation to science, b) development of a new scientific method, c) a method known in practice and to put into a new area. (3) PhD program, students accepted for bachelor's degree with not less than forty-two credits in at least fourteen courses, for students with a master's degree, a total of not less than twenty-one credit for at least seven courses, a qualifying examination, thesis proposal and thesis work. (4) In case of a PhD student to take graduate courses during the lessons, the course does not count toward the doctoral credit. (5) The student will receive a maximum of two courses, the consultant offers, with the approval of the Board of Directors recommendation of the department and the institute can also select courses from other higher education institutions. (6) PhD programs, PhD programs in the form of an integrated domestic and international non-editable. Time (1) The maximum period of the PhD program is six years. Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

1. It consists of examinations of credit courses, midterm, final, completeness and make-up exams. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The number of these activities and the contribution to the course grades are stated in the course plan by the teaching staff. 1.1. In order for the student to enter the final and make-up exams, he must have attended at least 70% of the theoretical courses. 1.2. The full score in the exams is 100 (hundred) pounds. 1.3. According to the pass mark the letter grading authority belongs to the faculty member. To be successful a letter note must be at least CB. 1.4. The contribution of the final exam grade to the pass mark can not be less than 40% and not more than 60%. 2. Every doctoral student who successfully completes his / her credit courses and seminar will take the proficiency exam. The student must take the proficiency exam at the latest until the end of the fifth semester. 2.1. The proficiency exam is organized in two parts, written and oral. The student who succeeds in writing a score of 65 out of 100 full points and scores on it is taken to the oral examination. 2.2. A student who fails the proficiency test is taken back to the next semester. In this examination, the student who fails also is dismissed from the doctorate program. 3. Students who pursue thesis studies are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The same assessment is also valid for non-credit courses, specialization courses and seminars and does not participate in the GPA.

Graduation Requirements

1. To be successful in thesis defense examination. 2. To provide other necessary conditions for graduation. 3. To submit at least three copies of the doctorate thesis prepared and bound in accordance with the thesis writing guide to the Institute of Social Sciences within one month from the date of entrance to the thesis defense examination.
