We have 110 scientific research manuscripts published in Science Scientific Indexes. 3 medical specialists, 27 graduate students have graduated. In our department we have six labarotories which include light microscopy-cutting, histochemistry-imunohistochemistry, cell culture, frozen section, molecular histology laboratories and cell-based research and treatment unit. Histological specimens which are used in students' practical lessons are prepared in the light microscopy labarotory. In histochemical, immunohistochemical and cell culture labarotories, scientific researches are carried out sponsored by TUBİTAK, DPT and Scientific Research Departmet of Celal Bayar University . In the cell-based research and treatment unit, scientific researches at molecular level are carried out. Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine Department of Histology and Embryology Department of Health Sciences Graduate School of Health aims to provide qualified education in the framework of the postgraduate education program and to provide the students with the knowledge, attitudes and attitudes appropriate to the requirements of the branch according to the universal science criteria, enabling them to use theoretical and practical knowledge equipped with skills, ethical values that give importance to the degree of masters, doctoral or specialist students can be able to raise. The graduate education curriculum is prepared in accordance with the training programs of the institutes and all students are aimed to be scientists who follow the current scientific developments, have the ability to reach new knowledge in the name of self-development, take part in research planning and do. In this direction, besides employing teaching staff at universities, it is aimed to educate graduate and specialist students who will work in assistant treatment laboratories (embryology, andrology) and stem cell and cellular treatment centers in the frame of legal rules.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Academic career, Laboratories, researcher
Access to Further Studies : Graduates who successfully completed the Master's Degree may apply to doctorate (third cycle) programmes in the same or in related disciplines.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Exams compose of midterms, final and make-up exams. Quizzes, projects, homeworks other than the exams can be carried out and other activities that the instructor deems appropriate. The number of these activities and the contribution to the course grades are stated in the course plan by the teaching staff. The exams can be written, oral, written, oral or practical. All exams are evaluated over 100 points and converted into a letter grade by the system. The success grade is calculated by taking the midterm and % ratios determined by the instructor of the other activities so that it will not fall below 50% of the contribution of the final exam. Letter grade limits are determined by the faculty member. To be successful in a lesson, the student must take at least the CB letter grade.

Facilities : Our department has 4 laboratories. In the light microscope laboratory there is an Olympus microscope used for research and education purposes. The practical courses of the graduate students are carried out by microscope. In this laboratory, there are 2 pieces of Leica microtome to get sections from paraffin blocks and ultramicrotome to get electron microscopic sections. Paraffin tissue processing, histochemical and immunohistochemical staining procedures are applied in histochemistry and immunohistochemistry laboratory. Histology preparations to be shown to students in practical courses are being prepared in this laboratory and researches are being carried out. There is a cryomicrotome to get frozen sections from the tissue in the frozen section laboratory. In the cell culture laboratory, many stem cell, embryonic stem cell and cancer studies supported by TÜBİTAK, DPT and the University Scientific Research Projects Unit are carried out and many studies are carried out jointly with the clinical departments at the thesis or research level. In the cell-based research and treatment unit and molecular histology laboratory, the Muse cell analysis system and the luminoskan microplate luminometer are used for studies at the level of molecular research.
