History : Demirci Vocational School was established on 25.01.1994. Forestry and Forestry Products Program started training in 2012. The department continues to teach and educate as secondary education.

Specific Admission Requirements : Candidates are required to have a high school and balanced school diploma and enough points from the score from the Higher Education Transition Examination (YGS) conducted by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (OSYM).
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and courses approved by Senate. Students who score 65 or more on exemption examinations are exempted from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : In order to obtain the associate degree from the Forestry and Forestry Program, a total of 120 ECTS required and elective courses must be successfully completed in the form specified in the training program. In addition to this, it is essential that the overall academic grade average is at least 2.00 over 4.00. There is also an internship obligation.
Profile of The Programme : To train technical personnel who have basic knowledge in the forestry sector, who act in compliance with the related legislation, who take responsibility as a team member, who are equipped with technical issues and who are able to use the knowledge and skills that they acquire in the sustainable management, ecological, economic and social aspects of forest resources.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : Graduates of this program are Forest Protection Officials in the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs and related General Directorates and Forest Technicians in the private sector.
Access to Further Studies : Completion of Bachelor's Degree with Transition to Vertical Transfer Examination or Open Education Faculty
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful in the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and achievement grade is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain a CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course but whose GANO is below 2.00 must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) in order to graduate and increase their GANO above 2.00.
Graduation Requirements : To complete 120 credits in the ECTS system and to fulfill the obligation to educate the sector applications with a general average of at least 2.00 / 4.00.

Facilities : Celal Bayar University Demirci Vocational School was established in 2012 in Manisa province Demirci county. It is located in the province of Demirci, which is 165 km away from the city of Manisa. There are 3 teaching assistants in the forestry department.
