Manisa Celal Bayar University Manisa Vocational School Electronics and Automation Department was first opened in the 2016-2017 academic year with the Mechatronics Program and Since the academic year of 2017-2018 education began. Sector Applications Education Model (3 + 1) is applied in Mechatronics program.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and the score of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (TYT), which has a score of sufficient score, indicates that they are placed in the relevant department.

Students enrolled in the program may be exempted from the courses they have achieved in their higher education institutions. Also; The exemption exam is opened at the beginning of each academic year for foreign language courses and the proposal of the relevant committees and the courses approved by the Senate. Students who get 65 or more from the exemption exam are exempted from these courses.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to graduate, the students in Mechatronics Program must complete 120 ECTS credits with compulsory and elective courses as required in the departmental education program and complete the Sector Applications education. In addition to these conditions, the GPA should be at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

The aim of mechatronics education is to train technicians who can develop modern and intelligent products on the basic engineering disciplines by using the technology of tomorrow. The mechatronics technicians of the future will be able to choose the necessary technologies and to develop the people who can easily move between different main engineering branches (machinery, electricity and computer science) and solve these problems with the best approach.

Access to Further Studies

Graduated students can transfer to the undergraduate programs related to the machine with the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) and to some departments through open education.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|
:
|
At least one midterm and one final exam are held for each course. Except for midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities deemed appropriate by the instructor can be done. The number of these activities and their contribution to the grade are indicated by the instructor in the course plan. The grade is calculated by taking 40% of the midterm and 60% of the final exam grade. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Achievement grade is evaluated by relative evaluation system and converted to letter grade. In order for a course to be considered successful, the student must have at least a CC grade. Students with at least 2.00 hours of GANO (DC) and (DD) letter grade is also considered successful in the courses. Students are required to graduate for a maximum of three courses, or (FD) or recent (FD) failures, but students whose GPA falls below 2.00 (DD), (DC) or (CC) grade three courses are given the right to additional examinations. The grade from the additional exams replaces the success grade. Students benefit from additional exam rights at the end of each semester.
