History : The program was established in 2013 and started its graduate education in 2013-2014 academic year.

Specific Admission Requirements : To register to graduate programs, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and take the score of not less than 55 points about the applied program in the Academic Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES).

To be successful in the foreign language, candidates must take at least 40 points in the Public Personnel Foreign Language Proficiency Examination (YDS). Those who apply to programs for which preparatory class is required for graduate education and those who succeed in preparatory class in undergraduate education are not required.

Entrance exams for the grade programs must be at least 65 points. Passing grade is the sum of the 50% of the ALES exam, 30% of the grade license score and 20% interview. Success scores of students who do not enter the interview are not calculated.

Candidates whose achievement score is 65 or higher in the master's program are ranked according to their scores starting from the highest. Candidates in the quota receive a definitive registration for the programs they apply to.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : If a student is enrolled in a postgraduate program at another university, then the courses taken at a graduate degree in the University will be counted as the minimum course load. To do this, they must submit the approved transcript and course content to the relevant unit within one week after the registration week with a petition.

The main purpose of the master program of Social Work Department; is to train a scientist as social worker that reaches a level of knowledge and skills in the field of social work, opens for self-developments in the field, is able to communicate and interact with coworkers, plays an active role in the solution of social problems, and is adherent to the code of ethics by giving modern and universal level social work education. It is expected from the graduates of the program to work with an approach that is adopted at national and universal values and gives priority to the needs of the country, provide psycho-social rehabilitation and social organization, and have the qualities that will demonstrate the strength of social institutions and social policies.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : They work in the social services and ministry of Family and Social Policies, Provincial Directorate of Social Services, in the fields of health, criminal justice, special education, youth, social security, social assistance, labor, higher education, etc.
Access to Further Studies : Graduates who successfully completed the Master's Degree (second cycle) may apply to doctorate (third cycle) programmes in the same or in related disciplines. Candidates who have successfully completed postgraduate studies can study graduate (PhD) programs with obligated requirement score from the Academic Staff and Graduate Study Education Exam (ALES) and The Interuniversity Board Foreign Examination (YDS).
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Exams consist of midterms, final and makeup exams. In addition to these, quizzes, home works and projects that are determined by the faculty in the syllabus can also be involved in the evaluation criteria. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. The exams can be written, oral, written, oral or practical. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Success grade is converted to letter grade with relative evaluation. The success grade is calculated by taking the percentages of the midterm and the other activities determined by the instructor so that it does not fall below 50% of the contribution of the final exam. Letter grade limits are determined by the instructor. The student must receive at least CC letter grade in a course to be successful.

Facilities : School of Social Work is near to Celal Bayar University School of Physical Education and Sports and Rectorate Campus. Infrastructure of department is that the department has classrooms and projectors in all classrooms. There are a library, gym, 85-seat conference hall, coffee shop and tennis tables in the café for students can benefit.
