Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the Foreign Language Course and the proposals of the related boards and the courses approved by the Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses.

In order to obtain the Pre Bachelor Degree in the field of Social Security, the students must successfully complete the required compulsory and elective courses (total of 120 ECTS) required to be taken in the program and the overall weighted grade average must be at least 2.0.

Profile of The Programme

The program primarily covers Social Security Practices, Labor Law Practices, Occupational Health and Safety and Insurance. For this reason, it is aimed to provide the students with the skills to understand different areas of Labor Law and Social Security, to specialize in at least one specialization in the field of Labor Law and Social Security and to participate in creative and unifying activities.

Due to the increase in the importance of social security all over the world, our graduates find employment opportunities easily in private and public sector. Depending on their personal interests and preferences, our graduates can work in many areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, Marketing and Management. In addition to the public sector, our graduates can find employment opportunities in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large-scale companies and social security departments of multinational companies. They can continue their undergraduate studies by applying to relevant undergraduate programs in universities in Turkey and abroad.

Access to Further Studies

Students who have successfully completed this program may apply to the undergraduate programs of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Insurance and Social Security and Social Work with the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Whether the students are successful in the courses they are taking are evaluated in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the instructor. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and term exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The student must have at least CC as a letter grade in order for a lesson to be considered successful. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.

In order to complete the program successfully, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (120 ECTS credits), obtain a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.00 and successfully complete the 40-day compulsory student training.

In the Social Security Program, the education and training activities are carried out with one associate and 13 lecturers. Lessons are conducted in 2 amphitas with projections and 7 classes; 4 computer laboratories are used effectively in academic studies.
