Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal): Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and courses approved by Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

The rules and regulations for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. Transfer can be made among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by Higher Education Council. Also successful vocational school graduates to continue their educaiton to obtain Bachelor’s degrees if they are successful in the selection and the placement examination (DGS, i.e. vertical transfer examination) are admitted. The courses to be taken by these students are determined by the relevant department, on the basis of courses they have completed in the programs from which they have graduated. Recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Institutions. Celal Bayar University and hence of the Department is not an exception to this. However, exams of exemption are organised at the start of each year at the University for the courses of English Language and Computer Skills. The students who have completed the proficiencies for these courses on his/her own or through other means, and believe that they have achieved the learning outcomes specified are given the right to take the exemption exam. The students who achieve a passing grade from these exams are held exempt from the related course in the curriculum.

Profile of The Programme

It is aimed to train sports administrators move from the conceptual foundations of management and equiped with the information related to the field of professional competence of sports management in order to apply this information to have on other disciplines. It is expected to analyze sports organizations with use of technology in education and to generate alternative ideas to the name of work efficiency and organizational effectiveness.

Graduates can work in Local Organizations and Head Quarter of General Directorate of Sport, sport federations, sport clubs, hotels, and fitness centers.

Access to Further Studies

Graduates holding a Bachelor's (first cycle) degree are eligible to apply to a Masters (second cycle) degree program at national level and/or international level both in the same and in related disciplines.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

|
Evaluation criteria for each course is determined by the faculty member who is teaching the course and this evaluation criteria is available on the University Course Information Catalogue. The students are required to take at least one midterm and one final exam in the scope of each enrolled course. In addition to these, quizzes, homeworks, presentations, projects etc. are determined by the faculty member to be involved in the evaluation criteria. At the end of the year, the grades of the students are calculated by the combination of midterm and final exam grades, in-year activities and participation in class. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The note that the student gets when calculating the success grade is converted to the letter grade in the relative system. The student must receive at least CC letter grades to be successful in a course. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.

The number of teaching staff of Coaching Education Department is 9. The department uses a part of the classrooms in the bulildings belonging to School of Physical Education and Sports. There are performance, exercise biochemistry, applied sports psychology, computer and climitization laboratories and fitness center, education classes. In addition, there are olympic outdoor swimming pool, sports halls, football fields, tennis courts, olympic athletics field and artistic gymnastics halls. Also research assistans have the opportunity to work in two person rooms and each of them can venefit from the university library with computers that have internet connection.
