History : The School of Applied Sciences, which has been operating since 30.05.1997, was transformed into the Faculty of Applied Sciences on October 4, 2019. The International Trade and Finance Department has started its activities within this scope.

Specific Admission Requirements : To have a high school diploma and to obtain sufficient points from the relevant field from the Undergraduate Placement Exam conducted by the Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM)
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) : Students enrolled in the program and those who come in the horizontal and vertical transitions can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and the courses approved by the Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations : Successful completion of all of the courses available in the program (for a total of 240 ECTS) and having a weighted GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 is a necessary qualification for graduation. Students are also required to successfully complete the 8th semester internship course.
Profile of The Programme : The aim of this program is to meet demand for human resources with modern knowledge and international skills in the field of international trade within the framework of developments in Turkey and the world economy. Increasing the competitiveness of Turkish corporations in international markets by educating specialists in this field , will play an important role in the development of the country. The students who have registered for this program have to take mandatory English preparation class about one year. After the preperation class, the education for undergraduate program is four year. During the undergraduate education, at least thirty percent of the courses are taught in English.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples : First two years of the curriculum is quite paralel with the Department of Business Administration. One-year English preparatory school is mandantory and at least %30 of the courses are taught in English. The third and fourth year courses are vocational in the field of International Trade and Finance. Our graduates primarily find opportunities to work in foreign trade and finance departments of companies that import and export in international markets. In addition, our graduates can pursue careers in various management levels in the public and private sectors and functionally in marketing-sales, money and capital markets, financial institutions, procurement, accounting, public relations, management consultancy, human resources management, customs consultancy. Our program is assertive in providing needed workforce for our country and the world who have high leadership quality, team skills, communication skills and developed entrepreneurial capabilities. In addition, graduates can take part in our country or abroad for completing their graduate education as an academic staff. The students have to complete intern courses at the last semester of the program.
Access to Further Studies : Graduates holding a Bachelor's (first cycle) degree are eligible to apply to a Masters (second cycle) degree program at national level and/or international level both in the same and in related disciplines. Our department accepts students to International Trade and Finance Master's and Doctorate Programs established under the Institute of Social Sciences.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading : Evaluation criteria for each course is determined by the faculty member who is teaching the course and this evaluation criteria is available on the University Course Information Catalogue. The students are required to take at least one midterm and one final exam in the scope of each enrolled course. In addition to these, quizzes, homeworks, presentations, projects etc. are determined by the faculty member to be involved in the evaluation criteria. At the end of the year, the grades of the students are calculated by the combination of midterm and final exam grades, in-year activities and participation in class.
When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. The note that the student gets when calculating the success grade is converted to the letter grade in the relative system. The student must receive at least CC letter grades to be successful in a course. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course, but whose GANO is below 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate.
Graduation Requirements : Students must successfully complete all required and elective courses (total of 240 ECTS) which must be taken in the program and achieve a CGPA of at least 2.00 over 4.00 . In addition, it is necessary to successfully complete the intership course in the 8th semester.

Facilities : The department of International Trade and Finance is located in Muradiye Campus. Students use fully equipped computer room, reading room, and campus facilities. Students can use the database with the computers with internet access in university library. Social, cultural and sports activities are abound and the school has six clubs. (Atatükçü Düşünce Club, Çanakkale Savaşlarını Araştırma ve Ata’nın Yolunda 57. Alay Club, Basın Yayın Club, Bilim ve Kültür Club, Genç Tema Club, Genç Liderler Club.
