Specific Admission Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science’s or a Master of Science’s diploma to apply to the Philosophy of Doctorate program. Candidates must have a score of not less than 55 points who have Master of Science degree and 80 points who have Bachelor of Science degree in the applied program from the Academic Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) and at least 80 points in the system of 100 or 3 points in the system of 4 at Bachelor of Science diploma score to apply to the Philosophy of Doctorate. Candidates must have at least 55 points from the central foreign language exams or equivalent international foreign language exams (exception of mother Language) accepted by the University Council., or an equivalent score from the international foreign language exam organized by ÖSYM. Achievement score in Philosophy of Doctorate programs is at least 65 points. Achievement score is the sum of the 50% of the ALES exam, 30% of the Bachelor of Science diploma score and 20% of interview. The score of candidates who do not enter interview are not calculated. Candidates who have a point of 65 or higher achievement score are listed according to their scores starting from the highest in Philosophy of Doctorate programs. Candidates in the quote receive a definitive registration right in the applied program. Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

Students enrolled to the Philosophy of Doctorate program may request exemption from the courses they have achieved in the equivalent programs at any of the other higher education institution. For the exemption from the courses they have achieved prior, they should submit their transcript and course contents to the relevant department within the next week of enrollment week.

To complete the Philosophy of Doctorate programs successfully, students who had Master of Science degree must join at less seven courses in condition totally not less than twenty one national credits and a seminar and successful at qualifying exam and preparation of thesis study and complete at less 60 ECTS credits in an education-training year, totally 240 ECTS credits in a maximum twelve semesters. Students who had Bachelor of Science degree must join at less fourteen courses in condition totally not less than fourty two national credits and a seminar and successful at qualifying exam and preparation of thesis study, totally 240 ECTS credits in a maximum fourteen semesters.

Profile of The Programme

The program consists of electrical and electronics engineering division. The curriculum is designed to provide a foundation for contemporary electrical and electronics engineering. First year elective courses include advanced topics in electrical, electronic, energy, power systems, digital signage, electric machines and programming languages. Through these lessons, students are offered a wide range of courses on electrical and electronics engineering.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

|
Exams are composed of mid-term, final and make-up exams. Other than exams, quiz, project, homework and other activates that the lecturer may consider appropriate can be applied. The number of these activities and the contribution to the achievement score are stated in the course plan by the lecturer. All exams can be applied as written, oral or both written and oral or practical. All exams are evaluated over 100 pointe and converted into letter grades by the system. Achievement score is calculated by taking not less than 50% of final exam and the percentage determined by lecturer of mid-term exam and other activates. Letter point limits are determined by the lecturer. The student must take at least a CB letter grade to be consider a successful for a course.

There are seven laboratories for undergraduate and graduate education experimental studies as well as for scientific studies (Electrical and Electronics Laboratory, Control and Automation Laboratory, Electrical Machinery Laboratory, Renewable Energy Laboratory, Robotic Laboratory, Smart Grids Laboratory and Embedded Systems Laboratory).
