It is necessary to have a high school and balanced school diploma and to get enough points from the related subject of Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) made by Center for Measurement, Selection and Placement (OSYM).

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and courses approved by Senate. Students who score 65 or more on the exemption exam are exempt from these courses.

To successfully complete the program, they can graduate on condition that they pass all the courses available in the program (120 ECTS credits), obtain a weighted average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 and complete compulsory internships.

Profile of The Programme
|

|
The aims of this programme can be outlined as follows; To supply an overall and comprehensive outlook on real estate sector issues both national and international level, to develop analytical skills to comprehend legislation issues in details to put into practice on any real estate management application and to deliver new theoretical approaches and praxis relating to local governments in the EU. The Real Estate Management program offers two years of training after high school. Students are selected from among the relevant vocational high school graduates without examination and by the examination conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Each year 50 students are enrolled in the program. Students are obliged to take and pass each compulsory course. Students are required to have a minimum GPA of 2.00 in order to graduate. It is also imperative that students complete an internship covering 40 business days to be able to graduate.

The students who successfully completed all the courses and awarded with associate degree can work in the government offices such as municipalities or in the private sector offices as an officer or manager.

Access to Further Studies

The graduates who successfully complete their short cycle training have the opportunity to apply to related undergraduate programs on condition that they acquire a sufficient mark from External Transfer Exam executed by OSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|
:
|
There is at least one midterm exam for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain a CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have a failed course but whose GANO is below 2.00 must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) in order to graduate and increase their GANO above 2.00.

Facilities

Education is maintained in 20 classes equipped with projection appliance for visual delivery of lectures. SVHS has three computer labs, one library, one conference hall. A movie lounge that equipped with visual and audial technology and with standard arm-chairs is at students’ service. There is one body-building room and gym. There are spaces for club and social activities for students, as well.
