Celal Bayar University Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, Akhisar Vocational School, Automotive Technology program has been continuing its education since 2002-2003 academic year. Our department, which responds to needs in terms of transportation convenience, infrastructure and equipment, tries to meet sector needs by giving many graduates. Given the graduation / employment rate, graduates are employed in the sector at the request of our graduates. Academic infrastructure and equipment in terms of sufficient enough for our students, the industry is preferred by the sector.

Students enrolled in the program can be exempted from the courses they have achieved in the higher education institutions they have already studied. Also; An exemption examination is opened at the beginning of each academic year for the foreign language course and the proposals of the relevant committees and courses approved by Senate. Students who pass the exemption exam pass are exempted from these courses

Profile of The Programme

Automotive Program; It is a Higher Education Program that gives a two-year education in order to ensure that the qualified intermediate human power needed by the automotive industry in both production and after-sales service levels grows in accordance with the quality and service philosophy that will meet the expectations of the times. Graduates who complete the program and receive the title of Automotive Technician will be able to meet the need of qualified personnel between the manager / engineer and the employee in the production and after-sales service sector or they will have the qualifications to open and run the business on their behalf. The basic automotive technology is equipped with the theoretical and practical knowledge and is equipped with the use of measuring instruments, using the computer, preparing the technical report, preparing the project, preparing the project, working in the operating table, etc. The training of the automotive technicians will teach them that they need to establish relationships with others and have a high level of skill. They learn to provide job security for their location and staff.

Graduated Automotive Technicians, Automotive main and sub-industry plants in all stages of the engineer can be counted as the title and responsibilities are in charge. However, it is seen that automotive technicians in production and assembly lines are active in the production work, they have an active role in production work, they provide communication and contact between engineers, planners and managers and workers as team leaders in quality circles and that the personnel in the lower levels of the training workings take responsibility as trainers in on- . Another part of the automotive industry that is as important as production is the services and sales points and training centers that we can call as after-sales service units. The responsibility of the automotive technicians in these units has increased from the mass production to the production process and the customer focused quality, the sales principles have become more and more consequent. These units are responsible for many areas, ranging from group leadership service management, sales group leadership, spare parts, service shop management to staff training.

Access to Further Studies

Students graduating from the Automotive Program can make a vertical transfer to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Automotive Engineering, Machinery and Mechanical Engineering departments of the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS).

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

|
At least one midterm exam is given for each course. Students are assessed whether they are successful or not from the courses they have taken in two stages, one midterm and one final exam. Other than midterm exams, quizzes, projects and other activities that the instructor deems suitable can be done. The contribution of these activities to the number and grade of achievement is indicated in the course plan by the teaching staff. When passing grade is determined, midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60% effective. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. In order for a student to be considered a successful dersten, he must obtain CC as a minimum grade. Students with a GANO score of at least 2.00 (DC) and (DD) are considered to be successful in grades. Students who do not have failed courses, but whose GANO is less than 2.00, must first take the courses (DC) and (DD) to get their GANOs above 2.00 in order to graduate
