The Music Teaching Program under the Fine Arts Education Department within the Faculty of Education at Manisa Celal Bayar University was established on the premises of the Faculty of Education. The program first admitted undergraduate students in the 2022-2023 academic year.

Transfers to the Music Education Bachelor’s Program from associate degree and bachelor’s degree programs at higher education institutions and through lateral transfers are evaluated in accordance with the “Regulation on the Principles of Lateral Transfers between Higher Education Institutions” and the provisions in the relevant articles.

In order to graduate from this four-year program, students must complete all the courses in the curriculum. To receive this degree, students must achieve a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and have a minimum general GPA of 2.00/4.00.

The Music Education Department provides a four-year bachelor’s degree program that prepares teachers with a modern and contemporary approach to education. It includes the design and implementation of educational activities, developing creative methods and strategies for the music teaching process, and ensuring that students can use them in their fieldwork. The department aims to train professionals who can work in the field and continue their professional development after graduation. The main goal is to equip students with modern pedagogical approaches in music education.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
|

At least one midterm exam and one final exam must be administered for each course in a semester. Midterm exams and assignments are taken into account in the evaluation. The results are announced on the university’s online portal, and final exams are conducted as written, oral, or practical exams depending on the course’s nature. The final exam contributes 60% to the course grade, while the midterm contributes 40%.
