Upon successful completion of this programme, the enrolled students will be gaining the following knowledge, skills and competences ;

To be able to use individual study and piano techniques appropriately in line with the requirements of music teaching, effectively, and in a dignified manner.

To be able to use one’s voice in an effective way, in accordance with the principles of voice training, using national and universal music.

To have the repertoire of pre-school and general music education and be able to accompany school songs with the study of these songs.

To be able to perform school instruments (Orff instruments, guitar, bağlama, percussion instruments, etc.) and to perform examples from the repertoire of educational music.

To be equipped to analyze and perform musical works in terms of form and structure and to be knowledgeable about various performance techniques.

To understand the relationships between sounds, and develop skills in musical hearing, reading, and writing.

To be knowledgeable about art and aesthetic concepts such as the origins of music, its historical development, and various styles and forms.

To be able to form a chorus for national and universal music and to be able to direct and perform works with these communities.

To have fundamental knowledge of our traditional (Turkish Classical and Folk Music) repertoires and to be able to perform these works in a dignified manner.

To be equipped in the technical aspects of educational music and to be able to compose school songs.

To establish oral and written communication using at least one foreign language and follow developments in the field of educational technologies.

To plan, organize, and evaluate educational activities related to music education methods and techniques.

To adopt the ethical and moral values of the Turkish National Education system, along with understanding the history and pedagogical methods in teaching music.

To know different learning approaches based on the developmental characteristics of students.

To plan, implement, and evaluate a specific lesson in a competent manner based on the knowledge and skills acquired in the program.
