Upon successful completion of this programme, the enrolled students will be gaining the following knowledge, skills and competences ;
1- To be able to know essential problems of Art History and ability of applying them to contemporary problems.
2- To be able to get essential knowledge on various branches of art; cover the various areas of human activities in terms of art history and improve the ability to describe them.
3- To be able to make connections between the past and today by examining the contemporary problems.
4- To be able to state opinions either written or orally.
5- To be able to characterize the artworks making connections between the original essences and cultural environment and the life and mentality of the past.
6- To be able to recognize and characterize any work of any era by referring to its original features.
7- To be able to put forth the evolutions the civilizations came through within themselves andthroughout the historical process and the influences they caused on these cultural assets.
8- To be able to identify the general features of the period and make connections among different works of art referring to the original essences.
9- To be able to draw the plan of a work of art, the cross-section or the analytical projection of the ornamentation on it by using the universal drawing techniques and equipments.
10- To be able to apply the techniques and skills on field learned in removing the works from underground.
11- To be able to read the inscriptions on cultural assets of different languages or to analyse them by getting assistance from different fields.
12- To be able to put in use the scientific approaches attained in conservation and restoration of the cultural assets in accordance with modern necessities.
13- To be able to search and put in use the modern methods for the exhibition of works of art in stages like museums.
14- To be able to use basic computer software and communication technologies.
